The other morning my girlfriend and I went out for breakfast. It was her idea. I personally wanted to stay in and have her make eggs and hashbrowns but I didn’t get my way. Instead we went out.
We headed over to Davie’s Chuck Wagon Diner
She had the Sirloin Steak and Eggs, with Hash Browns, and Hotcakes. I had a short stack of pancakes. Here’s our thoughts.
1. Food Quality
The food was cooked to order, and the temperature was perfect. The hashbrowns were a bit on the soft side, but overall the quality of the food was great.
2. Customer Service
The customer service at Davie’s was about what I remembered it, albeit far less personable than it used to be when I was a kid. We had two different servers, and it seemed very professional vs personable and inviting. Overall however the service was adequate, although it felt less like a Mom and Pop joint and more like going out to a Denny’s.
3. Pricing
There is no more affordable breakfast in all of the Denver Metro Area.
In Conclusion
I will obviously be back, although because of the slight change in personable service I probably won’t be as regular as my father was. We used to go about every weekend. If I had to recommend anything I’d say try to improve the customer service, and don’t be afraid to raise the prices in light of this.
I give this restaurant 2.5 Stars out of 5.
